Access opportunities for those with mobility difficulties

Scotland is undoubtedly well known for its hills and mountains but although this may not sound ideal for people with mobility difficulties there are still many places where access opportunities exist and some of these routes are detailed below. These routes range from those which are specifically designed such as those created by Forestry Commission Scotland or the Cairngorm mountain company, to routes that were originally built for other purposes, such as canal towpaths.

A number of organisations exist that can help provide information on access opportunities for those with mobility difficulties and we have listed a number of these below and on our links pages.
