Angus Glens Walking Festival 2008

This festival has rightly earned its place on Scotland's Outdoor Events calendar and is a 4-day event offering a varied programme of walks and evening entertainment to suit all ages and abilities. Experienced leaders will guide you through this beautiful yet little known part of Scotland and present information on the history, wildlife and culture of the area.

The Angus Glens extend from the rich lowlands towards the high mountains, which form the southern edge of the Cairngorms National Park. Glens Isla, Prosen, Clova, Doll, Lethnot and Esk will all be explored during the walking festival.

The festival is based in Kirriemuir Town Hall. Kirriemuir nestles on the southern slopes of the Grampian mountains, and is perhaps best known as the birthplace of J.M. Barrie - author of the world famous Peter Pan. Limited car parking is available at walk start and finish points and you should use the festival bus service which is included in the cost of the walks.
