Sole Trading Appeal 2008- Conserving our Natural Playground!

Sole Trading Appeal Before Picture

The National Trust for Scotland is asking its supporters to leave more than footprints at the mountain ranges under its care - the charity is looking for donations to help maintain its mountain paths.

The National Trust for Scotland has been running 'The Sole Trading Appeal' for eight years. It has proved to be extremely successful and is essential in order to conserve our mountains and their wild characters for everyone to enjoy.

The appeal raises money to repair walking areas and paths eroded by hikers. Conservation work has been, or is currently being undertaken in 76,000 hectares of land; including 46 Munros.

Teams from the National Trust for Scotland have already completed hugely successful footpath repairs on Ben Lawers, Ben Lomond and on the Mar Lodge Estate, in Kintail, Glencoe and on Arran.

These teams do an invaluable job, spending half of their time working on extremely testing terrain more than 2,500ft up on the hills of Scotland.
