5 kms 1 1/2 hours 0 metres Explorer 353: Islay North

Description

From the car park beside Ardnave Loch, follow the track between the farm buildings and through a gate on the left, towards the sea. The track soon peters out but the short springy turf makes for easy walking away from the sand dunes. Follow the coast around Ardnave Point, walking along a mixture of rocky shore, beach and grassy duens and turning back along the shore of Loch Gruinart before joining a sandy track which leads back to the start.
