Description
From Knockrome, the track runs through the gate above the old school to continue down towards the shore. At the gate beside the wooded stream turn right towards the shoreline. The way ahead has no clear path - take care on the mixture of mud, sand and spongy turf on this section. Near the wood of Garbh Achadh bear left to join a rough track which runs out onto the peninsula towards An Dunan. The rocks around the fort are steep; it is best approached with care from the north-east. Return by same route.
Access Info
Buses operate regularly between the ferry slip at Feolin and Inverlussa. Some services operate on request only and it is necessary to book. Car parking is limited at Knockrome.
