Description
Bird lovers on this walk should look out for Red Grouse and Blackcock amongst the heather. The track climbs steadily until the summit of Cnon-nan Gabhar is reached. A commanding panorma of Kintyre awaits as well as views of the Kilbrannan Sound, Arran and on clear days Ben Cruachan to the north. The walk then drops downhill until the car park is reached.
Access Info
The walk starts from Port na Storm car park on the outskirts of Carradale. Look out for the green Forest Enterprise sign.
Additional Info
There are two walks waymarked in Carradale. Both start from the same car park. This, the Red Route, is the shortest; the other one is 6 miles and can be found in longer walk section.
