Mackinnons Cave, Isle of Mull
| Distance | Approximate Time | Height Gain | OS Map |
| 3 kms | 1 1/2 hours | 60 metres | Explorer 375: Isle of Mull East |
Description
The starting point is a farm road, leading to Balmeanach on the B8035 just beyond the Gribun rocks where the road begins to climb into Glen Seilisdeir. Pass through the gate at the farm outbuildings and follow the fence to the top of the cliffs. A winding path leads downwards and a short quarter mile along the coast of increasing drama brings you to the cave. Just before the cave there is a waterfall and then some large rocks washed by the tide at the mouth of the cave, which have to be scrambled over.
