Description
Start from the Tourist Information Centre in Argyll Square - turn into Combie Street and then left up Glencruitten Road. Passing the golf course, bear left at the next junction and continue uphill past the cottages and through the gate onto the open moor. The way ahead to Connel is easily followed, but take care when joining the pavement beside the main road into Connel.

Start from the Tourist Information Centre in Argyll Square in Oban. As an alternative to returning by the same route, check with the TIC for train times between Oban and Connel - return by train or take the train to Connel and walk back to Oban.
