The river Spey is a popular location for Trout and Salmon fishing. The walk takes you to Broomhill station. Recently re-furbished and newly opened extension to the Starthspey Steam Steam Railway Company in 2002. This station is more famously known as Glenbogle Station in the poular T.V series Monarch of the Glen, a BBC production which filmed in the area. The Steam railway arrived in the area in 1863 but has not been used since the 1960's as the main line Aviemore and Inverness became the main transport use and timber industries declined.
