Description
An initially easy walk through delightful Caledonian pine woodland and past Lochan Uaine (the Green lochan) leads to Ryvoan Pass. As the road forks, keep left heading towards Ryvoan Bothy - from here a waymarked path leads up the steeper ascent up the eastern flank of Meall a' Bhuachaille.
Descend west by a path and midway between Meall a' Buachaille and Creagan Gorm head south by a path indicated by marker posts, which takes walkers back down to Glenmore via a forest track and a burn.
A round trip is possible by continuing along past Creagan Gorm on to Craiggowrie and descending west towards Badaguish. The walk start point is a short walk back from Badaguish to Glenmore Lodge.
Access Info
The walk starts from the road end just east of Glenmore Lodge although there is limited parking here. An alternative if doing the circular route is to start near the road junction at the Glenmore Visitor centre where there is ample parking.
More Info
This route is described (in reverse order) in the Pathfinder guide Cairngorms walks.
