Description
A scenic walk on good paths in the open Caledonian Pine Forest and moorland of the Rothiemurchus Estate, a beautiful area for walking.The route joins a private forest road rising to Rothiemurchus Lodge .From the lodge a path through the heather leads to the mouth of the Lairig Ghru giving views of Braeriach and Ben Macdui in the distance.A newly reconstructed path along the top edge of a deep tree filled gorge descends to rejoin the outward path.
