Description
Start from the Cathedral; go down to the High Street. Turn left at the roundabout and go uphill to another roundabout; turn left again onto Perth Rd. Turn right into Newton Loan, continue uphill and across Ochiltree, then down a cul-de-sac and uphill to Newton Cres. Cross into Leighton Ave. and bear right on the track to Dykedale. Continue along the clear path all the way to Macrae Monument. Turn right and follow the road past Stonehill down to Dykedale Woods. Turn right into the woods at the small car park and follow the track or the small path back to the houses. Turn left onto Newton Crescent, left into the Crescent and right onto Glen Road and continue back to the start.

Dunblane is well served by public transport. There are regular buses to Stirling & frequent train services to Glasgow, Edinburgh & Perth.
Parking is available near the station and close to the Cathedral.
Additional Info
Once you have turned right at Macrae Monument, takecare as there is no footpath beside the road.
There are two good viewpoints on this walk - the first at Dykedale and the other at the Monument.
