Description
Start from the care park beside the library and primary school in Dollar: turn right onto a track past some houses and turn right again behind the last house, onto the line of the old railway. The route is very obvious all the way to Devonvale. At the junction with the A908, cross the road, turn left and then right, to follow the path alongside the river. At the next junction, turn left across the footbridge, go uphill and then turn right along a path which follows the line of the old railway behind the houses of Marchglen. Take care at the road crossing near the A908 junction. From here to the end of the route, on the high street in Sauchie on the outskirts of Alloa, the going is easy.
