Description
Start from the car park in Earn Court beside Alloa Tower. From here, follow Engelen Drive and turn left onto Forth Crescent. Turn right onto a track through the woods and then turn right at the frist junction. Turn left after crossing the bridge and follow the path into Back Wood and on to the main road. Turn right and then first right up Kirk Wynd to The Cross. To continue, follow High Street uphill to Clackmannan Tower and go through a gate in the fence before descending along the edge of Back Wood to reach a path at the base of the hill. Turn left and continue past Craigrie Farm, then turn right onto a clear track which leads back to Alloa across the Black Devon and through the fields to Riverside View.

This walk is on well used paths along rights of way. Car parking is available beside Alloa Tower.
Additional Info
Clackmannan Tower is the ancient seat of the Bruce farmily. The oldest part of the tower dates from the 14th Century. Alloa Tower is now under the care of the National Trust for Scotland. Alloa Tower was once the home of the Erskine family - the Earls
