| Distance | Approximate Time | Height Gain | OS Map |
| 3.2 kms | 01:30 (hrs:mins) | 454 metres | Explorer 365: The Trossachs |
Description
From the car park, start by crossing the road and start to climb up the steep path through wooded area. Continue forward and after crossing the burn the path starts to flatten. Keep walking along the path through more woodland and when emerged from the trees, the impressive summit of Ben A'an is displayed ahead.
From this point on, the route becomes more difficult. Take care as the path becomes steeper and you start to climb up and over loose rocks.
Continue along the path until you come to a fork. The left route is for the climbers path but for this walk continue forward and progress onto the summit. From here you will enjoy magnificent panoramic views out over Loch Katrine, Loch Achray and the summit of Ben Venue.
Take your time to relax after your ascent before returning, by the same route, back to the starting point at the car park.
