Allt a' Cham-ruidhe (Yellow Route)

Distance Approximate Time Height Gain OS Map
2 kms 01:00 (hrs:mins) 15 metres Explorer 365: The Trossachs

Description

Looking over Loch Achray with Ben Venue in the distance

Through conifer forest and young native woodland the path follows the Allt a' Cham-ruidhe burn. One of two burn crossings is by way of stepping stones so this is not a trail to use during or just after heavy rain.

Follow the Forest Drive for a short way before leaving the road on a well constructed path. After crossing the Allt a Cham ruidhe burn the path climbs steeply for a short distance before it levels out and offers good views of the surrounding hills including Ben A'an and Ben Venue. There are also fine views across Loch Achray to Tigh Mor and the Trossachs Kirk.
