The Ord, Nairn

Distance Approximate Time Height Gain OS Map
5.64 kms 02:00 (hrs:mins) 100 metres Explorer 422: Nairn & Cawdor

Description

The walk is a two-in-one, so you can easily get back to your car at the halfway mark if the weather turns bad. The path contours round the Ord Hill near its summit (220m). The paths are wide and are normally good walking (their very wet appearance on the photographs is due to the combination of felling operations and a spell of very wet weather); but waterproof footwear is advised. For the first half of the walk follow red markers and on the second half follow the green.

Access Info

From Nairn take the B9090 south and turn off to Geddes. The small car park is at the roadside (on your left) about two miles after leaving the B9090 (885502).
