Description
The walk follows parts of shorter, signposted walks to make a varied two-hour walk. There is a variety of paths, environment and views of Strath Nairn. The novelist Alistair Maclean lived here in Daviot when his father was the parish minister; a commemorative service, attended by celebrities from the film world, was held in the tiny church after his death in 1987.

The car park is at the information centre on the northbound carriageway of the A9, two miles south of Inverness (NH711415).
