Description
A walk along the coast from the historic harbour at Portsoy to the lovely sandy beach and picturesque village at Sandend, returning by a route along paths through farmland. This walk can be continued beyond Sandend to give a one-way route between Cullen and Portsoy.
Access Info
Portsoy is on the main A98 trunk road between Fochabers and Fraserburgh and is well-served by buses that ply the coastal route between Elgin and Banff, so access is easy. To reach the starting point follow the signs to the harbour from the A98. Sandend lies a short distance from the main road, but it is still easy enough to reach it to get a bus back to your starting point.
