Bennachie - The Birks walk

Description

This walk contours around Millstone hill and gives great views of Bennachie and the surrounding countryside. Buzzards can often be seen wheeling high above in the sky in the spring and late summer on this walk. For more information click on the Forestry Commission's web link below. The walk is waymarked from the car park.

Access Info

This walk starts at the Don View Car Park. From Monymusk head north towards Blairdaff. After about 1.5 miles the Donview Car park and walks are sign posted off to the left. Turn left and follow minor road towards Keig, for about 2 miles. This road follows the river Don and is called the Lords Throat.
