Description

This is a cool and tranquil walk to get away from it all with walking through mixed conifer forest with lots of small glades of old alder and ancient birch trees covered in beautiful carpets of moss.

Both walks are in woodland, some broadleaved, some coniferous across from the Restaurant and Visitor Centre. There are good views over the river Shin and its surrounding woodland.

Access Info

The walks start from the Falls of Shin Visitor Centre, on the B862 between Invershin and Lairg.

Additional Info

The short loop (1/2km) is an all abilites walk with gentle gradients and a fine surface leading to a good viewpoint.
