Description

There are several walks on Ord Hill; this is one of the best. It makes use of a new path (2000) to traverse the seaward side of the hill, then climbs to the summit (190m) before descending to the car parking area.

Good views over the Moray and Beauly Firths; some steep bits, boots advised.

Access Info

From Inverness take the A9 north across the Kessock Bridge. Soon after crossing the bridge turn off left to North Kessock and drive along the seafront to park under the bridge at Craigton Point (662479). Buses from Inverness northwards also stop on the north side of the Kessock Bridge.
