Description
The coastal walk described follows a picturesque section of coast, but even more impressive coastal scenery can be found on the north-facing section of coast beyond the lighthouse. With very little extra effort, the route can be extended along this section of coast to Sinclair and Girnigoe castles, before rejoining the route described at the road end. Access Info
From Wick follow the A99 north from the town centre and take the road signposted to Staxigoe. As you come into the village of Staxigoe there is a T-junction. Turn right here and follow the road round to the harbour, where the walk starts. There are occasional buses here from Wick.
