The Ullapool Hill path

Distance Approximate Time Height Gain OS Map
5 kms 01:30 (hrs:mins) 200 metres Explorer 436: Beinn Dearg & Loch Fannich

Description

Looking over to the village of Ullapool on the east shore of Loch Broom

Ullapool is an excellent walking centre, but most visitors probably head off out of the village to walk.

This walk is one that can be done from the village itself and the views over the village and Loch Broom and out to the mountains further afield, make it particularly worthwhile. The walk is one of a series of waymarked walks.

Access Info

The walk starts just off the A835 just north of the pottery and school where there is a sign "Ullapool hill path". There is limited parking here but plenty around the village from where the walk can easily be started. Ullapool is served by buses from Inverness, but times are linked to ferry departures and arrivals.

Additional Info

At the time of writing a whole series of paths around here were being waymarked - expect to find coloured markers for this route.
