Morangie Forest Walk
| Distance | Approximate Time | Height Gain | OS Map |
| 11 kms | 03:20 (hrs:mins) | 200 metres | Explorer 438: Dornoch & Tain |
Description
A large part of this walk is in open forest, climbing steadily to a moorland plateau at 800ft. Here there are superb views to the Dornoch, Cromarty and Moray Firths (take binoculars to get the most from them). There are many forestry tracks in the area, but this walk is well-marked and on good paths (there are muddy sections of course and boots are advised). There is a new circular nature trail path laid out and it is suited to wheelchairs. It's about 3km.
Access Info
Leave the A9 at NH774814, on the outskirts of Tain, and follow the country road to the signpost at NH758792. The car park is about 200m along the turn-off.
