Kinnoull Hill from Jubilee Car Park

Distance Approximate Time Height Gain OS Map
4 kms 01:30 (hrs:mins) 80 metres Explorer 369: Perth & Kinross

Description

A short but very pleasant and popular walk from a well made car park. On good paths throughout, it passes through beech, birch, pine and oak woods which are home to red squirrel and roe deer.

The walk rises to the edge of 200 metre high cliffs with a folly based on the castles of the Rhine Valley. It provides superb views down the Tay Valley and across to the Ochil Hills and Lomond Hills in Fife. From the summit there are views across the Valley of Strathmore to the Grampian Mountains.

Access Info

The Jubilee Car Park is well surfaced and holds around 25 cars. It is situated on the minor road leading from Perth to Kinfauns on the A90 (was A85).

Additional Info

A number of other walks, including one suitable for wheelchairs, also start from the Jubilee Car Park, see the notice board in the car park or obtain a leaflet from local tourist offices.
