Description
Follow the Fife Coastal Path signs heading past the cliff-top ruins of Ravenscraig Castle before heading back down the cliffs, through the park towards Dysart. Head through this picturesque fishing village until you once again meet the sea. Continue along the way-marked path past the fringes of Chapel Woods until you reach West Wemyss. Continue along the seafront out of the village until you reach the next coastal village of East Wemyss. Pass through this village to reach the wondrous Wemyss Caves with their prehistoric markings then climb the hill to reach the ruins of Macduff Castle and some excellent views of the coast to end your walk.
Access Info
Start in Ravenscraig Car Park at the east end of Kirkcaldy. Can be easily accessed by public transport.

The ruins of Ravenscraig Castle, Kirkcaldy as well as the main car park. At Dysart there is the coastal path centre at the Harbourmaster's House (with tearoom) as well as the Pan Ha' (17th century buildings), parking and picnic sites.Just past Dysart is the disused Colliery tower at Frances Pit.
At West Wemyss there is parking available and Wemyss Castle (private) which can be viewed from the coast. There is another colliery pit between West and East Wemyss - Michael Colliery. Then just after East Wemyss lies the Wemyss Caves and Macduff Castle.
