Description
Seaton Cliffs Nature Trail is managed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust. This is a self guided trail and a guide can be obtained from the Arbroath Tourist Information Centre or SWT Montrose Basin for a small charge.
The trail goes into areas of SSSI and the sea cliffs are spectacular. There are 15 interpretative points of interest and a wide variety of sea bird species including Puffin, Guillemots, Razorbill and Eider duck to name but a few.
The Signal Tower Museum is well worth a visit, and there are also several operators who organise pleasure cruises or fishing trips out of Arbroath harbour.

The start point for this walk is the car park in Victoria Park, south of West Seaton.

Arbroath is a bustling seaside town which is still home to an active fishing industry, and there are many restaurants, pubs and shops on hand.
The local delicacy, the Arbroath Smokie, is not to be missed. Follow the aroma of smoked fish and you will arrive at one of the tiny smokehouses to see the famous Smokie being prepared for purchase - excellent eaten hot or cold.
The town is dominated by Arbroath Abbey, where the famous Declaration of Arbroath (signifying Scotland's independence from England) was signed in 1320.
