Description
Although the Southern Upland Way is Scotland's longest National long distance route, it has plenty to offer those looking for shorter walks. This one is a perfect example taking in a mix of different terrain and with some excellent views.
Access Info
The route starts in the village of Traquair, next to the village hall (car parking) This is also served by buses running between edinburgh and Melrose. At the end of the walk it is just over a mile to the bus stop at caddonfoot.
Additional Info
Nearby Traquair House, said to be the oldest inhabited house in Scotland, is worth a visit.
